Hey, shoot me an email at eric at madhack dot com sometime. - Supervisor 194 16:56, 16 Jun 2007 (PDT)
Wow, thanks for that heads up about Crabrock/Oldbill, I have no idea what happened there. - Supervisor 194 10:19, 3 Apr 2007 (PDT)
- No worries - heh, when I gave out a Sharpie Star I accidentally gave it to the wrong user, giving me a 100% first-time mistake rating with Sharpie Stars!

Thanks. If I make any more errors then critisise (Sp?) away. I'm still learning the smaller tweakings of using a wiki. Nuka 02:26, 12 Mar 2007 (PDT)
Request: I'm about to link my DC DMV parody to your site. Wondering if you can lock the entry Dc_dmv from being by newly reg'd members? Nbdinz 11:08, 1 Mar 2007 (PST)
- You're thinking of Wikipedia there - here we can only protect pages from being edited by all non-admins. What I mean is that if I protected the page, you wouldn't be able to edit it. I'm not entirely sure why you want the page protected - there are at least two of us working in different time zones watching this site, so any and all vandalism is caught and dealt with quickly (if vandalism is what you're worried about). I'm sure it'll be fine as it is. DoubleR 10:38, 4 Mar 2007 (PST)
- RE: Stupid - I do not want to be in the business of chasing away prolific writers, I appreciate all users who contribute. However, there is a fine line between allowing liberal edits to be made and allowing the value of the wiki to suffer. Stupid is a good writer, with good ideas. Unfortunately, even after his many efforts, I didn't laugh once. To my recollection, all I did was edit irony to make it funny, in the hopes that I could guide him. I'm not sure how I could have been any more gentle? But frankly, I'd rather have him not posting than posting stuff that's just simply not funny. It's a volume issue. One or two or three unfunny articles is not a problem. But all of his articles need to be touched for funny, and they are legion. I will be attempting to do that over the next couple of weeks. I don't want him to leave, because he makes what I would consider great "seed" articles, but he made so many that to keep up with them and make them amusing is gonna take some pretty hurculean effort. -- Supervisor 194 14:56, 22 Jan 2007 (PST)
- Yeah I'm with you on that - there is a lot of work that needs to be done RE: his articles. Good ideas aren't enough when what we're aiming for here is humour. I realise you didn't mean anything malicious by your comment, it was a fair observation, it's just that he seems to have taken it somewhat personally, judging by his reaction. On reflection, it seems that my comment on his page was too 'softly softly' and didn't really address the key issue here. I shall remedy that now. Thanks for clarifying. DoubleR 15:29, 22 Jan 2007 (PST)
- Guys, no offense taken. but I believe I should not add articles that don't fit with the general policy. So I'll back off a little to give a chance to make some edits to the articles I already posted. --Taz 01:49, 24 Jan 2007 (PST)
- Thanks a lot Taz, that's an excellent attitude, and we will catch up so you can start seeding again. -- Supervisor 194 15:16, 24 Jan 2007 (PST)

I promise on my aunt's brother's nephew's cousin's life that I will finish Cola Wars this Wednesday. DoubleR 17:38, 15 Jan 2007 (PST)
- I am breathless with anticipation. I see it on the FRONT FUCKING PAGE! I know it can be done.

badly I've failedwell it's gone. DoubleR 14:11, 17 Jan 2007 (PST)- are you keeping any of my shit? i dont really care as i hated it but was just curious. Most of the trouble i had with it was that i tried to keep with the original authors theme. I don't know why, it just seemed like the thing to do. then half way through i said "fuck this" -crabrock 17:48, 17 Jan 2007 (PST)
- Some stuff is being kept, but I'm going down quite a different road with it generally. I think the main problem is that the original idea is pretty crap and just doesn't really work, although it was a valiant effort to maintain it. Having said that we'll have to see whether my version actually is an improvement or just more inane rubbish. We shall see. DoubleR 17:53, 17 Jan 2007 (PST)

tiny lil colored boxes
- dude can i steal some of ur colored boxes and place them on my page too? hehe ---Taz 16:56, 10 Jan 2007 (PST)
- Sure, go for it!
P.S. It's best if you put new discussions at the top of User talk pages - it makes everything easier to read that way!

Hey I just wanted you to know I saw what you did there with that guy who obviously didn't take the Vandalism Challenge (wink wink) - very clever. Let's make that the policy. - Supervisor 194 09:31, 10 Jan 2007 (PST)
- You mean anyone that adds a load of shit content of any sort goes down as having taken the Vandalism Challenge? DoubleR 10:19, 10 Jan 2007 (PST)
- No, I mean how someone obviously executed a script against the server which would have resulted in a VC loss for you. Lucky for you, he didn't TAKE the challenge, nes pa? etc - Supervisor 194 11:10, 10 Jan 2007 (PST)
- Ah, yeah, this fella. Oui oui. I thought you meant that fella. Which wouldn't have made any sense. But yes, only idiots that are fairly fagging this place up should be allowed to take the VC, and script kiddies and the like should be treated to a more mundane humiliation. I now (eventually) understand and agree. DoubleR 11:21, 10 Jan 2007 (PST)

Thanks a LOT for the cleanup of television. I was gonna do it myself, but was out all day until just this moment. - Supervisor 194 19:00, 30 Oct 2006 (PST)
- No need to thank me, I'm happy to help. It's not the best cleanup job ever, but it's in style, so it'll do. - DoubleR 12:48, 31 Oct 2006 (PST)
I'm not the only one; posting here, I can shed any senses of decency and politeness I may exude in real-time, and I can take delight in the most tactless filth imaginable. Although I felt the Moses entry wasn't up to par, I thought that "Smelly Old Jew" was the best part, too. (And thanks for correcting the formatting error; I forgot to mention that "Moses was stupid.") (By the way, are you familiar with Wendy Carlos and Switched-On Bach? I recall her listing Kurzweil synthesizers for some of her records utilisng digital synthesis... I read your Ray Kurzweil article and remembered that.) Wizard, October 1, 2006.
NOTICE TO ADMINS
- I strongly recommend all admins contribute to this contest. Your admin status may be at risk if you do not. I do not think it is unfair to ask that admins contribute to this wiki at least once monthly. This notice is being sent to all admins who are not currently signed up for the contest. If you are more than a monthly contributor, please ignore this notice, as we love you dearly. -- Supervisor 194 19:54, 28 Jul 2006 (PDT)
- Ok that's fair. I'm going away for a week as of today, but when I get back I'll whip something up for it. DoubleR 00:20, 29 Jul 2006 (PDT)
I nominate you to come up with our "clever turn of phrase of the week" for next Monday, July 31. -- Supervisor 194 11:16, 24 Jul 2006 (PDT)
Being a Good Sysop
- In RE: Your question, I would say just kinda lurk it a bit and watch what the other sysops do. Read all the discussion pages on sysop accounts, as we've been sort of making up the way things are done as we've gone along and talking about it as we've done it. This is still a very young wiki, so there's not a hell of a lot to do right now, but as we grow, it's certain to require more effort. Oh, and edits on discussion pages are usually put at the top, so you don't have to scroll down. Supervisor 194 20:07, 5 Jun 2006 (PDT)
- But once they are there you can do this to create a thread.
- And this, etc.
- Oh hey, good call on that revert, yes.
- And this, etc.
- As a sysop, I feel I have contributed alot of useful articles. Also, I'm going to start a fad to try and make picture captions follow the front page's legendary picture, "This is a ____ with a ____ on it's head." I also enjoy banning stupid fuckers. Fbi2thegrave 22:32, 5 Jun 2006 (PDT)

Out of deference to your excellent contributions to our humble encyclopedia, I am conferring sysop status upon you. You may now humiliate other, less interesting users, as well as reward good ones. Enjoy! Supervisor 194 16:58, 5 Jun 2006 (PDT)
Bravo! Thank you for not being a giant douchebag. This is an excellent start. Supervisor 194 13:54, 15 May 2006 (PDT)
Thanks, although I was a douchebag in the beginning, for which I apologise. I've had some therapy, re-aligned my karma and all is well now.
Apologies for the inconvience. Nuka
