Tired Catchphrases are stupid.
They are generally examples of internet memes that are ruined by the overly aggressive asshats who use them repeatedly in order to demonstrate that they use the Internet and/or read Slashdot, which, in their small minds, makes them seem cool to everyone else posting on the message board. Not only does it not make them cool, it generally earns the ire of other users, who are quick to point out that the phrase is old and the person who just used it is a homosexual, thereby proving their own superiority, despite the fact that they are also posting on the Internet in their stained underwear.

That this ordinary collection of words is considered "retarded", forcing people to figure out some other way of saying something basically mundane, is further evidence of the Internet's all-ecompassing shitness.
