Slashdot is stupid.

Slashdot is a temple of internet masturbation, founded by the Grand Wanker of Nerdiness, Steve Ballmer. It is often rumored to be named after the rooting unix monkey, but is actually a mangling of Splash-Plop. Steve realised that the noise that occurred when he took an especially satisfying dump was an elegant metaphor for the type of articles that would be posted by his mindless readers.

Slashdot consists largely of articles about breast enhancement, and making one's penis more muscular. It has a forum, which is an extension of Usenet.

All reasonable individuals use Slashdot for nerd-baiting. It has also been used by Al-Quaida and The Church of Scientology as a communications medium, as it is well known that no-one of any importance reads it.
