Perl is stupid.

Perl is a programming language invented by noted sociopath Larry Wall. Originally developed to be an easier way to use regular expressions to parse text files, it grew to become a useless, overblown monstrosity with so many arcane library dependencies that everyone abandoned it for php.

Ruby on Rails is the new Perl. We know this because former Perl users can't fucking shut their fat fucking faces about it as they go on and on about how superior it is to everything except blowjobs. In fact, nobody really gives a shit and the internet is about to die, except for Google, whose new target stock price is four digits.
