From Encyclopedia Of Stupid
Grammar is stupid.
It has been noted on more than one occasion that this encyclopedia refers to itself as Encyclopedia Of Stupid, with the preposition "of" capitalized. It has further been suggested that this is a great big faggoty mistake because the logo has got it right and the "of" is not capitalized. Many high horses were mounted. The issue was discussed.
In point of fact, according to the arcane rules of English grammar, it is not technically incorrect to capitalize prepositions in titles. In fact, it is technically correct to do so. Except that it appears that most editors think that prepositions shorter than five letters look funny when capitalized, and so they have taken it upon themselves to not capitalize them as a matter of style.
We here at EOS find this to be stupid. Therefore, we are flippantly maintaining that, as grammar Nazis, we must follow the rules of grammar to the letter and editors be damned! Except that the logo looks cool and will serve to confuse people, so it will stay as it is.
