Save for William Dean Martin, aka Billy, whose sole redeeming quality is that he's easy on the eyes.

Lots and lots of black clothes and lots and lots of eyeliner plus tattoos plus hairwax plus some hardware. A boyband marketed as a "hardcore" rawk band.

These guys are poser-punks, trying to be emo, while parading around in stereotypical goth fashion.

Miscontrued Lyrics

Fans think they can relate to Good Charlotte. They think GC are being down to earth because they whine about how much life sucks. These are the same melodramatic goons who drown in apocalyptic feelings because they're stuck indoors on a rainy day, and can't get to Hot Topic to buy new clothes for their already full wardrobe of Hot Topic garb.

On GC's side, being as dumb as their fanbase, how bad can life be if you've huge companies sponsoring your tours, stylists, and have cars and mansions to lounge around in?

Fans think GC's "music" is about not fitting into the mold, and about being different. Never mind that they're spawns of MTV. Never mind that the GC fan's attire and style are carbon copies of GC and every other GC fan. Never mind that all their songs are cheesy poppish and radio-friendly, borrowing the word "punk" to coat their pathetic pop with some credibility. Never mind that they're exactly the same as a whole bunch of other bands which might as well be called Band #1, Band #2, Band #3, etc.

It would be interesting to conduct a scientific study to determine if GC or their fans are stupider.

The Rich and Famous

GC exploits the concept of teen angst with the full support of MTV for such crap as usual. These guys are cash machines that invade and continue tainting the airwaves. Legends like The Clash, The Sex Pistols, and The Ramones remain largely unknown, undervalued and underrated, to teenyboppers who have no taste whatsoever.
