eBay is stupid.
eBay is a social experiment created in The Future to demonstrate that most Internet users are idiots. For instance, if one were to finds one's self in a bidding war with someone on eBay, one might do well to think to one's self "say... at what point does my bidding up of this product stop making sense because I can just go over to Amazon and get it cheaper and not have to pay for shipping?"
This thought, however, never crosses the mind of anyone on eBay, as they blithely bid up products to WIN THE AUCTION AT ALL COSTS. This generates copious profits for sellers, who go to Target, buy one of everything, see what sells on ebay for a ridiculous price, and return the rest.
Items which can be purchased on eBay include:
- Fake iPods
- Laptops with missing motherboards
- Hand-stitched bibles
- Smoke-damaged Star Trek memorabilia
- Spittoons
