Depeche Mode is an English pop band. Notwithstanding their slavish devotion to ridiculous costumes and arty poseur lyricism, they have managed to sell 270 million FUCKING RECORDS!!!!11oneone
(Note: Only correct if you count each member as a separate Depeche Mode. 270/3=90 millions)

Sometime before 1975
Nothing, since they formed up in 1984. They met each other while doing pot in Das Klub in East Germany... or something. Having no ideas of their own, they played everything Ultravox and 50 Cent did, giving them a lot of status in the warez scene.
The British Bastard Brat Boy Band consists of these blokes:
- Dave Gahan. Serious fucking dangerous criminal who gave up cocaine because Tony the Tiger told him to.
- Martin Gore. Half-man/machine capable of doing some seriously high-pitched singing. Should not be confronted if you see him, since he will unleash kung-fu on anyone taller than 1.5 meters.
- Andrew Fletcher. Dude smokes... a lot. Playz ze Ostdeutsche synthesizer und commands die Volk.
Two guys weren't cool enough to be in the band, so they left. Pretty simple to understand, even for someone like you, huh?
