Background

History

The root of the word can be traced back to the Latin term capitalis, which means "head", as every man understands that getting head is an acknowledgment of power within a relationship, and power is the basis of this economic system. The word was first coined in the Communist Manifesto in the year 1984 by the enigmatic businessman Karl Marx, who indroduced the term in order to satisfy his loyal workers that he was a competent leader without having to provide any actual evidence.

Theory

Modern capatilism is in actual fact a very effective system under which the common worker can live, basic models will often specify that private ownership is forbidden to individuals and that all property is distributed evenly between members of the capitalistic society; what this means is that no individual can ever live at a lower standard to those who operate within the same economy.

Opposition

Opponents of capitalism are very rare, but the points that they embrace are no less relevant; the most common being the theory that under this form of economy there is no room for distribution of funds, as no individual has a need to aquire resources that will be distributed back into society evenly. The modern critic is actually inclined to argue that under such a system a lack of distibution would become so far reaching that over time such a society would crumble, although no individual would be any worse off than his peers. So basically, life would suck ass.

Specifics

Free Market

In simplest terms a free market under capitalism can be desribed as a complete ejaculation of human rights, as the government evenly distributes all property and wealth under the law. Essentially, what this means is that whatever an individual acquires is taken away to be shared equally amoung peers, without exception.

Government

With this economic structure in place there can only be one possible structure set up to enforce it: Democracy, aka The Mafioso. Under this form of enforcing government, individuals are free to elect leaders that will both screw over the public and guarentee that other elected officials will never be corrupt. Essentially, while a capitalistic economy will instill in the "people" the belief that, with some hard work and dedication they too can work towards economic health and maturity, the fact will always remain that a select few will continualy bitch-slap them back to reality.
