"Baptists" are stupid.
The term Baptist refers to a protestant flavor of Christianity, a religion. Baptists distinguish themselves by commonly baptizing their followers in their teens, as opposed to Catholics, who baptize at birth.

Where found
Baptists are found predominantly in the the American South. This is because the South is full of arrogant pig-headed rednecks (also known as hicks). Hicks are as bad as Nazis in that they blatantly discriminate against every religion that is not their own, including other forms of Christianity.

Decline in numbers
One of the main reasons hicks are not thriving today is because of the newfound joys of the Internet. The Internet, while densely populated with myspace whores and 40-year-old perverts, also helps to let hicks know that nobody likes them or their stupid religion.
